BUFFALO, N.Y. — A mistrial has been declared in the case of an Amherst Police Detective accused of lying to federal agents during an investigation.

Greg Trotter is charged with lying to agents during their investigation into Pharaoh's strip club owner Peter Gerace who was convicted on drug and sex trafficking charges at a trial conducted last year.

Trotter was accused of being untruthful about his relationship with Gerace during an interview on September 30, 2022 with FBI Agents Jason Kammeraad and Sean Kelly, who secretly recorded their conversation in which Trotter said he knew only knew Gerace from having handled harassment complaints Gerace filed against his ex-wife Katrina Nigro, when Trotter worked in the Amherst Police family offense unit.
