PULLMAN — A WSU football player has been identified as the victim of a shooting early Sunday.
Pullman PD says Uilisone 'Sone' Falealo, an offensive lineman for the Cougars, was shot in the stomach. Court documents say Falealo underwent surgery to remove the bullet, and it did not damage any of his organs. He has since been released, and is expected to make a full recovery.
Officers responded to the Aspen Heights Apartments around 1:47 a.m. Sunday to reports of a shooting. Falealo told officers that he and his friends were asked to work security at an apartment party there. Those two friends are Jaylin K. Caldwell and Xavier Thorpe who are also WSU offensive linemen. Falealo said the suspect, identified as 20-year-old Jakori Cezon Buchanan, assaulted a girl at the party in the backyard. F
