CHICKASAW, Ala. (WKRG) — Either Tyran Colvin or Bill Vallon will be elected mayor of Chickasaw in Tuesday's runoff election.
While both men are running for the same office, they have different plans for the city if elected.
For businessman Tyran Colvin, it starts with generating more revenue for the city.
"If we could get the revenue cranked back up with new businesses," Colvin began. "Then a lot of our financial woes will be taken care of."
Meanwhile, Army veteran Bill Vallon said the city needs to address the basics, like public safety.
"If you don't get in here and fix the fire and police department, if you don't slow the crime down, if you don't stop the drugs," Vallon listed. "Instead of just punishing people that are breaking the law for drugs, we need to offer help."
