GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Leaders with local Head Start programs say they aren’t having any problems accessing federal funding, despite the Midwest regional office shutting down earlier this year.
Action 2 News asked about the issue on Monday during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on an expansion to Green Bay’s facilities.
Head Start is a federally funded child development program designed to help break the cycle of poverty by providing preschool children of low-income families with a comprehensive program to meet their emotional, social, health, nutritional, and psychological needs.
The program’s co-director gave an update on where they are at.
