PROSPECT PARK — If Kylie Arnot had any desire to evade the pressure, the banner would make it pretty difficult.

Strung up on the dun façade of Interboro High School, the bright yellow banner that is taller than she is exuberantly advertises one of the school’s most athletically prolific occupants.

Most of Arnot’s thoughts this fall have been on what she needs to do to edit the banner, from “3x PIAA State Diving Champion” to “4x”. Embracing the expectations is part of her process.

“It’s very nerve-wracking, because this is going to be my fourth time,” Arnot said last week. “I’m not scared — I don’t like to say I’m scared — I’m just overwhelmed, trying to make sure that I do just as good as I did before and end up in the same spot.”
