FARGO — A popular downtown Fargo bar was negligent in hiring and supervising two former bouncers who assaulted a customer two years ago, a jury ruled Monday, Sept. 22.

After a four-day trial, jurors in Cass County District Court determined the Old Broadway was partially responsible for the 2023 assault on Colton Nobles, of Crookston, Minnesota. The bar will have to pay 20% of the $20,000 awarded to Nobles, or $4,000, plus interest.

The jury also found Nobles to be 20% at fault. Former bouncers Jalal Uddin Buckner, 21, and Jeremy Antonio Dalton, 35, both of West Fargo, were each 30% at fault, the jury ruled.

The two bouncers owe Nobles $6,000 each.

"I don't think there is a clear winner or loser in this case," said Judge Susan Bailey.
