WESTLAKE, Ohio -- The Westlake City School District continues to exceed state standards in academic achievement, earning strong ratings across multiple categories on the 2025 Ohio State Report Card .

The district’s overall grade was 4.5 stars out of 5.

“What makes a house a home? It’s not just the walls and roof -- it’s the people inside, the care they share and the way they support one another,” Superintendent Dr. Scott Goggin said in a message to the community.

“The same can be said for our schools. Westlake City Schools are more than just buildings where lessons are taught; we are a community where students are nurtured, encouraged and given the opportunity to grow into their best selves.”
