ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) -A St. Charles County teenager critically injured in a car crash earlier this year is home, after spending nearly six months at a rehabilitation facility in Chicago.

Hunter Perry, 18, was injured in a crash on March 15, 2025, on Highway DD near New Melle. According to the New Melle Fire Protection District, Perry was ejected from a pick-up truck that rolled several times after the driver lost control on the roadway. He was paralyzed from the neck down as a result of his injuries.

Late last week, he returned home for the first time since the crash.

Erin Cox, a family friend, said Hunter wanted to attend the Francis Howell High School football game on Friday night. He was a senior at the school at the time of the crash.
