FARGO — Parents can help reduce the risk of death or injury for their children in the event of a crash by making sure they have the right car seat and that it is being used properly.
In 2023, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found an average of two children younger than 14 died each day in traffic crashes.
To raise awareness, this week is National Child Passenger Safety Week. It concludes Saturday with National Seat Check Day.
Community life educators at Sanford Children’s Clinic say now is a good time to schedule a car seat check with them, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office or the West Fargo Fire Department.
