EUGENE, Ore. - A house fire broke out on Sunday afternoon in northwest Eugene, prompting a swift response by local fire personnel, according to the Lane Fire Authority.

LFA officials said that fire crews responded shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 22 to a Bobolink Avenue home where firefighters arrived to find a garage fully engulfed in flames with potential spread into the home. Assistance from Eugene-Springfield Fire helped bring the fire under control, limiting the main damage to the garage.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Lane Fire Authority expressed gratitude to Eugene-Springfield Fire for their support through mutual aid.
