COCHISE COUNTY, Ariz. — After nearly five years on the run, former Fort Huachuca Army Captain Christopher Wilkinson was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Bluffs, Illinois, on Sept. 18.

Wilkinson was wanted for indecent exposure and abusive sexual contact charges after failing to appear at his court martial hearing, according to a news release.

"No child should ever have to endure any abuse, let alone this egregious crime," said U.S. Marshal Van Bayless of the District of Arizona.

Wilkinson was initially sought by the U.S. Marshals Arizona WANTED Violent Offender Task Force in February 2021, following a request from Fort Huachuca military personnel. Wilkinson was accused of having inappropriate contact with a relative while he was stationed at Fort Huachuca.
