PHOENIX — Unseasonably warm conditions will hang around across Arizona through this weekend as a strong ridge of high pressure builds over the southwest.

High temperatures in the Valley will peak in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees Sunday and Monday, which is around 8-10 degrees above our normal range. On Sunday, the heat in Phoenix will reach record levels with a forecast high of 89°. The daily record high is currently 88°, set back in 2005.

Hang in there if you want some cooler and wetter weather. The 8-14 day forecast shows a chance for rain and slightly cooler temperatures by next weekend. We'll keep you posted, so keep checking back for our updated forecast.
