PHOENIX — The first day of fall brings wet weather for parts of Arizona. Phoenix rain chances hang around Monday morning, before drying out through mid-week. The best opportunities for storms in Arizona on Monday are around Flagstaff and the White Mountains.
Daytime highs rise above average through midweek, topping out nearly 10 degrees above average on Wednesday. Skies will dry too, before storm chances return later on Thursday.
As that meandering low-pressure system will edge closer to Arizona late in the week, bringing another potential surge of moisture and lift. The end result is increasing clouds and an increasing chance of rain showers into the Valley late Thursday and Friday, if the low tracks as are currently forecasted.
