The 2025 Alaska State Fair has wrapped up with record-breaking numbers and national recognition.

This year’s fair, themed “Reach for the Stars,” drew nearly 389,000 visitors—up from 370,000 in 2024—and earned a spot as the 7th-best state fair in the country in USA TODAY’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

Fair CEO Jeff Curtis says the event was an overwhelming success, with sold-out concerts, including Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Billy Currington, Foreigner, and two shows by “Weird Al” Yankovic. Expanded seating at the MTA Grandstand helped drive a 34 percent jump in attendance for popular events like the Demolition Derby, Monster Trucks, and the Rodeo Alaska Champions Tour.

The 4-H and FFA Jr. Market Livestock Auction also set new records, raising $742,000 from the sale of 136 animals. Exhi
