Detroit Tigers fans are perplexed, heartbroken and simply dumbfounded by the team's inability to win at the most crucial stage of the season. Yes, some are screaming at the TV out of frustration.

From inexplicable to inexcusable, the Tigers’ plummet continues, and there’s no telling where it will end. At this rate, it will end soon, sadly, almost mercifully.

The Tigers are in a spiral that defies logic, mathematics and even history. They’re gasping to the finish, and yet somehow aren’t finished. Although they certainly looked done after a dreary, soggy capitulation to the Braves 6-2 in the home finale Sunday.
