Relatives of the three people electrocuted after a power line collapsed on an SUV and sparked a fire have sued Portland General Electric and a property management company Friday, seeking $375 million.
The wrongful death lawsuit, filed Friday in Multnomah County Circuit Court, alleges PGE failed to maintain and appropriately inspect wires and poles and was negligent in installing the power line that fell. It also claims that Legacy Property Management, which managed the Northeast Portland triplex where the SUV was parked, did not ensure the property was maintained in a safe condition.
