The Salem man accused of causing a crash that killed four young men Saturday night admitted to having a history of drinking and driving, according to prosecutors.
Saul Hernandez-Roblero, 23, was driving a sedan carrying five passengers when he swerved into oncoming traffic and caused a T-bone collision with an SUV in east Salem Saturday, according to statements from prosecutors and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The crash killed four passengers in his vehicle and sent three occupants of the SUV to the hospital.
It’s the deadliest crash reported in Marion County since a truck driver hit and killed seven farmworkers in May 2023.
Hernandez-Roblero was charged Monday in Marion County Circuit Court with four counts of second-degree manslaughter, four counts of recklessly endangering a p
