A bus driver accused of causing the death of an 18-year-old pedestrian in a Brisbane CBD crash will fight the charges when he faces trial.

Lindsay Francis Selby, 70, will contest charges of driving without due care and attention causing death after the March 2024 crash, which killed Tia Cameron.

The legal challenge is set down for a day-long hearing in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Police allege Selby was driving a bus that mounted the kerb during peak hour, pinning Cameron against a building in Brisbane.

Cameron had just left a nearby salon and, in horrifying scenes, was pinned against the Anzac Square Arcade building in the city centre.

The teenager died at the scene, while four bus passengers needed treatment for minor injuries.
