Marshall County authorities said on Monday that they are conducting a homicide investigation after a body was found with a gunshot wound.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office says the body was found at a home in the Martling Community.

According to the sheriff's office, one person of interest was placed in custody Monday morning on other charges.

Authorities say there is no immediate threat to the community. Local, state, and federal agencies are currently involved in the investigation. Sheriff Phil Sims say more information will be released at a later date.
