Clouds have filled in and we're watching a few shower on radar over the North Country this evening.

We'll continue to see the coverage of these showers expand Tuesday, focusing over northern zones during the morning, and shifting south with the front during the afternoon.

Beneficial widespread periods of light to moderate rain won't bust the drought, but it will certainly help with some of the more immediate concerns like the elevated fire risk, the crispy lawns and the dusty dirt roads.

We dry out the rain chances overnight but find a few more spotty showers bubble up Wednesday afternoon. All in all rainfall totals from both days of rain chances range from up to a quarter of an inch for most folks, with a few isolated locations in the North Country ranging between 0.5-1.0"
