WAKEFIELD, Mass. (WTNH) — Two men are embarking on a 3,000-mile bike ride from Calais, Maine to Key West, Florida to raise money for ALS research.
Emmet Davitt and his son Patrick began their journey on Sept. 3, donating money to The Angel Fund for ALS Research. The duo hopes to spread awareness and promote medical research to help find a treatment and a cure for ALS, which has touched multiple members of their family.
The Angel Fund for ALS Research is an independent non-profit charity at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School in Worcester.
Emmet and Patrick have set up a fundraising page to enable supporters to make a donation to the fight against ALS.
