NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Toad's Place in New Haven shocked Connecticut rock fans with a surprise announcement on Monday -- first come, first serve tickets to a Foo Fighters show Tuesday night.
Thousands dropped everything and ran to York Street to get in line for one of the only 900 tickets available.
"My friend who's actually in the front of the line right now called me while I was in the shower," Aidan Bergin of North Haven told News 8 while waiting in line. "I dried off as quick as I could and hopped in my car and came straight here."
Many people were at work when the show was announced, Frankie Lembo of New Haven said he got permission from his boss to take off early.
