TAYLORSVILLE — A Taylorsville man was charged Monday with drugging and sexually assaulting a teenage girl for over a week.

Andrew Owen, 22, is charged in 3rd District Court with rape, a first-degree felony; three counts of drug distribution, a second-degree felony; child endangerment and being a restricted person in possession of a weapon, third-degree felonies; and two counts of drug possession, a class A misdemeanor.

A 14-year-old girl told police say she recently contacted Owen on social media and asked him for a ride home. But when Owen picked the girl up, he told her that he had "a bunch of drugs" and she agreed to go to his residence and "the next thing she knew a week or two had gone by," according to charging documents
