LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A former Jeffersonville police officer was sentenced to 15 months in prison and a year of supervised release, according to the Department of Justice’s Southern District of Indiana office.
Todd Wilson, 52, of Charlestown, pleaded guilty to one count of making a false statement in connection with purchasing a firearm.
According to a release, Wilson was the Jeffersonville Police Department’s evidence custodian. From 2020 to 2021, court documents say Wilson lied about purchasing nine firearms on eight separate occasions from a federally licensed dealer in Jeffersonville.
