HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Construction work will soon begin to install a new sewer connection line for the new Kailua Beach Park Ocean Safety District Operations Base Station.
The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Design and Construction said construction will begin Sept. 29 and will last an estimated 2-3 weeks.
The station will be the first facility to be designed and built specifically for the Honolulu Ocean Safety Department.
The project will include demolition and removal of the asphalt roadway, connection and installation of a new sewer lateral to an existing sewer manhole, and restoration of the roadway.
The timeline is weather permitting and barring unforeseen conditions. Work will take place at night, Sunday through Friday, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., excluding holidays.
