Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh has secured second place in the AIDS preventive measures in the overall state rankings report released for the first quarter (April-June) of the 2025-26 annual period by the National AIDS Control Organisation .
AP State AIDS Control Society (APSACS) project director Neelakanta Reddy stated that the APSACS secured 98 points out of 132 points set by NACO, achieving a 74.2per cent score.
Neelakanta Reddy further said AP stood at 11th position in the corresponding period and improved its position by securing second place in the country.
Neelakanta Reddy attributed the results to APSACS effectively providing treatment and healthcare services to HIV-infected patients and decreasing the viral load to 95per cent, thus enhancing the living standards of the patients i
