Allen County Public Library officials want to hear from patrons about the future of six branches.
As part of its facilities master plan, the library is inviting the community to attend listening sessions it’s hosting to gather input and answer questions, a Monday news release said.
The public will have the opportunity to talk with the design team at events through Oct. 9. People will also be able to use self-serve engagement boards during open hours during each branch’s specified week.
The library’s website said the project will cost a total of $62.7 million with the library contributing $25.7 million to go with the $37 million bond that was approved in January. The library will pay back the $37 million over the next 20 years.
Phase one of the plan includes a mix of renovations, improv
