The Tripura Pradesh Congress has appealed to the state government to address urgent socio-economic issues affecting rural workers and low-income families ahead of the Durga Puja festival. In a memorandum submitted earlier this month, the party highlighted the pending wages of Rega labourers and requested arrangements for at least ten days of work for rural households through government departments.

According to the memorandum, a Congress delegation met the Chief Minister on 6 September to discuss these issues. The meeting was reportedly cordial, with assurances given that the government would take prompt and sincere action to fulfil the demands.
