Brilliant Minds season 2's premiere episode kicked off an interesting storyline that's already leaving breadcrumbs for viewers to follow regarding why Dr. Oliver Wolf (Zachary Quinto) gets committed six months in the future. While Brilliant Minds season 1 ended with a mystery on its hands, the second season's opening episode leaves the questions up in the air, instead starting off with a flash-forward.

Bringing viewers six months into the future, the dark, gloomy interior of a mental hospital are shown before Oliver, clearly desperate to escape, does his best to get out. Charging down hallways with a stolen lab coat, Oliver is eventually caught by the Hudson Oaks staff and sedated as newcomer Bellamy Young , playing Dr. Amelia Frank, watches on with a sinister grin.
