ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A 17-year-old charged in a September 16 murder will stay in custody. The teen, along with 18-year-old Austin Olimb, is accused of meeting Angelo Tafoya at an apartment complex on Tramway Blvd. for a gun/drug deal. According to investigators, they planned to rob Tafoya. At the meeting, Tafoya was shot multiple times and died.
According to the Bernalillo County District Attorney's Office, Bernalillo County deputies investigated a stolen vehicle and arrested the pair. Tafoya's gun was found in the vehicle along with other stolen firearms. According to the DA, another stolen vehicle, used in Tafoya's murder, was tied to the suspects.
According to the DA, the teen has had 10 cases in the juvenile justice system in less than two years. Olimb will be in court on Tuesd
