It’s a stormy start to Fall for parts of New Mexico. A cold front starts moving into the state Tuesday, bringing storm chances and cooler temperatures.

Fall officially began at 12:19 PM MDT! Showers and storms developed in New Mexico Monday thanks to subtropical moisture moving into the state. This has caused a few strong to severe storms to pop up in western and central New Mexico and are pushing east across the state. The Albuquerque Metro saw a line of storms this afternoon. Storms are moving out of eastern New Mexico tonight, with clearing skies across the state. Temperatures cooled off quickly behind the rain showers, while southeast New Mexico climbed into the 90s. A cold front will start moving into northeast New Mexico tonight.
