Families affected by violence in Cincinnati are actively working to raise awareness and reduce deadly incidents ahead of the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims.
Victims advocate Karen Rumsey, from the Cincinnati Police Department, is leading efforts to distribute flyers featuring unsolved homicide cases in various police districts. Advertisement
"We're blitzing. We're at every district this week," Rumsey said.
The initiative began in Cincinnati's West End neighborhood and in Walnut Hills on Monday. Similar events are planned in other districts throughout the week.
"We just want the community and the world to know that we have not forgotten those people. We've not forgotten those families," Rumsey said.
She emphasized the importance of using their voices, esp
