, Ohio —
The one-time Forest Fair Mall that became Cincinnati Mills is marking the end of an era, with demolition underway.
The mall opened in the 1980s and was once the second-largest mall in Ohio. In recent years, the mall struggled to maintain tenants and officially closed to the public in 2022. Advertisement
As the old mall is being demolished, officials say the Hillman Group, a Cincinnati-based hardware distributor, will anchor the site’s transformation with a 715,000-square-foot multipurpose facility.
The transformed space will include a two-story office space, warehousing and distribution capabilities, as well as a large parking area.
