A coordinated response by Camarillo police led to the arrest of two men on Thursday following a reported mail theft at the United States Postal Service office on the 2100 block of Pickwick Drive, authorities said.
Camarillo Patrol deputies responded around 1:10 p.m. on Sept. 18 after learning mail had been stolen from the facility. Officers soon spotted a suspicious vehicle nearby. As deputies prepared to conduct a traffic stop, the suspects were observed discarding stolen mail from the car, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said.
The vehicle was stopped, and the suspects, identified as Angel Garcia and Julian Mancilla Sotelo, were taken into custody. Officers recovered numerous pieces of mail inside and around the car, believed to have been taken from mailboxes in Camarillo, Carpinter
