The Edgewood Warriors, and Rylan Compan, took the first step toward the state boys golf tournament Monday at Quail Hollow.

The Warriors edged out Perry 329-330 for the team title in the Division II sectional tournament. It was Edgewood’s first boys golf sectional crown since 1986.
