KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - A bomb threat investigation is underway at KU Medical Center.
The Kansas City Kansas Police Department said an individual arrived at the entrance of the ER with what was told to police as an explosive device. Police responded just after 6:30 p.m. on a bomb threat call.
KCKPD said officers set a perimeter and the bomb unit was called to the scene.
Eventually, the device was determined not to be explosive.
“At this time, there is no danger to the public and no further information,” KCKPD said in a release.
The KU Medical Center Police Department is now investigating.
A KU Med spokesperson told KCTV the incident was “proactively resolved by law enforcement,” reiterating that no one was injured.
