SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The No. 5-ranked Angelo State Rams remained undefeated after a 56-27 Lone Star Conference blowout against Western New Mexico at LeGrand Stadium on Saturday night, and now they get a break in the schedule.

ASU improved to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the LSC heading into a bye week this week, before returning to play at home against UT Permian Basin on Saturday, Oct. 4.

With junior starting quarterback Braeden Fuller still sidelined with an injury, redshirt sophomore Kaeden Smith completed 14 of 22 passes for 214 yards and five touchdowns to five different receivers against the Mustangs.

ASU was clinging to a 28-20 halftime advantage before running away with things the rest of the way.
