Patterson outlines challenges, bright future in first SOTU address

MURRAY – As Dr. Ron Patterson last week delivered his first State of the University address since becoming the 15th president of Murray State University, he discussed several challenges facing the institution, but had an overwhelmingly positive outlook on its recent achievements and future potential.

Before speaking to gathered MSU employees, students and community members in Wrather Hall, Patterson began by showing a video presenting more than 10 minutes of text highlighting the university’s achievements in the past year. He later told the gathered crowd he could not be prouder to call them his colleagues and brag about their successes.
