MURRAY – The Clayton Creek Bridge on KY 121 South in Calloway County reopened to traffic Monday, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reported.

The new bridge is located at mile point 10.843 on KY 121 South, between KY 1497/Murray Paris Road and KY 893/New Providence Road, southeast of Murray.

Construction began in late March. During the work, traffic has been using an onsite diversion. With traffic now restored to the bridge, the contractor will begin dismantling the temporary diversion route. KYTC asks lease use caution when workers and equipment are near traffic flow.

Jim Smith Contracting is the primary contractor for this project, which has been listed on the KYTC District 1 weekly Roadshow Report.
