The hypocrisy in Bangor leadership seems to know no bounds. While members of the city council have stood on their collective soap box and spoken about the dearth of available housing , the Historic Preservation Commission decides repairs to a house on Broadway are not adequate. How, when a like-material roof is available immediately, does replacing a slate roof with slate avail those without housing to housing options?
I’m pretty sure some things have changed over the past 150 years. It seems to me that those who won’t consider logic or reason, seem to hold on to a policy written when Millard Filmore was president. It’s time to move past the 19th century.
