Two Aspen residents accused of kidnapping and assaulting a woman are continuing to press for lower bond amounts as their cases move through the courts.

On Monday, Pitkin County District Judge Laura Makar reduced bond for Vanessa Leighton, 41, from $30,000 to $25,000. Leighton, who remains in the Eagle County jail, would be required to wear an electronic monitoring device and undergo drug and alcohol testing if she posts bond. Makar also ordered her to avoid three locations the victim is known to frequent.

The judge scheduled an Oct. 2 hearing on a separate request from co-defendant Nathan Keen, 39, who is being held in the Pitkin County
