SEATTLE — One person was killed and another was injured in a shooting in Seattle on Monday night, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD).
Police are investigating the scene near 12th Avenue South and South Lane Street.
Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes said there was an altercation between two groups of people around 10 p.m. and one person pulled out a gun.
The Real Time Crime Center cameras assisted police in locating and confirming the incident scene, Barnes added.
One victim, a 38-year-old man, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and he was transferred to the hospital. Another man who was shot died at the scene, despite life-saving efforts, Barnes said.
The suspect has not yet been arrested. Anyone who witnessed the shooting is asked to contact police.
