SEATTLE — (Editor's note: The Homeland Security ads are running on KING 5. The KING 5 news department is separate from the advertising department.)

Seattle police are the target of new recruiting efforts by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) .

In a new Homeland Security advertisement that first aired last week, the commercial calls out Seattle-area officers encouraging them to join ICE.

“Attention Seattle law enforcement,” the ad begins, “you took an oath to protect and serve, to keep your family, your city safe, but in sanctuary cities you're ordered to stand down while dangerous illegals walk free.”

The ad urges law enforcement members to join ICE and help “catch the worst of the worst." Those who join ICE can receive a $50,000 bonus, according to the advertisement.
