Ice Hockey club, Glasgow Clan, has banned a fan for life after they posted racist and discriminatory comments across its social media platforms.

The Braehead Arena side said the comments on Sunday, September 21, following their match with Fife Flyers, were "deeply concerning" and "stand in direct opposition to everything our club represents".

In a statement, the club confirmed the individual has been issued a lifetime ban and will not be permitted entry to the arena for any event. It is understood the comments were directed towards a Fife Flyers player.

The incident has also been reported to the relevant authorities.
