Naveen Sadana is going in a different direction for his latest restaurant.
The owner of Carytown Indian Cuisine and Junoon Indian Cuisine in the West End is preparing to open a new sports bar in the former longtime Acacia Mid-Town building at 2601 W. Cary St. in the Fan.
Earlier this year, Sadana and his business partner at Junoon, Bachitar Singh, bought the Cary Street building for $1.2 million, but the duo didn’t say at the time what they had in mind for the space.
Last week Sadana confirmed the sports bar concept and said they’re giving it the apt name, West Cary Sports Bar.
“I’ve been doing the Indian restaurants for 30 years. So we’re just trying to see if we can do some different concepts,” Sadana said.
