Sauer Properties finally snagged two of the only buildings it didn’t already own around its Sauer Center development along Broad Street.

Earlier this month, the local real estate firm purchased 1800-1806 W. Broad St. for $3.4 million, city records show.

The properties are home to two long-running, ink-based businesses: Richmond Printing Service and Lucky 13 Tattooing & Piercing. They’re also located in the middle of Sauer Center, the Whole Foods-anchored development that spans nearly 40 acres and whose extensive second phase is currently being planned.

Sauer bought the two buildings, which sit on a combined 0.4 acres, from Richmond Printing owner Robert E. Salmons Jr. The two connected buildings total 18,000 square feet, with 1800-1804 W. Bro
