SAN DIEGO (KUSI)--For The Bishop’s School’s senior quarterback, Cash Herrera, making it to Division I football and pursuing an NFL career has always been the ultimate goal. But choosing the path to achieve this dream was not easy.

Following 13 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) offers and a brief period of commitment to the University of Iowa, the three-star signal caller eventually landed in the Big Ten at Indiana University.

He explained his decision confidently.

“They say, to be the best, you’ve got to play the best, and you’ve got to compete with the best,” Herrera said. “I think the connections that [Indiana] Coach [Curt] Cignetti has, Coach [Chandler] Whitmer to the NFL, are really great.
