Hours of torrential rain this weekend led to a slew of flood warnings and flood alerts for Greater Manchester at the beginning of this week.

The heavy rain saw one street in Salford submerged in water with vehicles stranded.

Those warnings and alerts have now been removed for the Greater Manchester region, but some remain in other parts of the country.

Today, the Met Office is forecasting a different picture for the coming days in Greater Manchester - including bright sunshine this morning (September 23).
