Fan-favourite BBC chef, Clarissa Dickson Wright, had her possessions sold after death to settle her tax bill with HMRC.

The Two Fat Ladies host had £9000 in her bank account at the time she died in March 2014 at the age of 66, records have shown.

Clarissa once held a huge £2.8 million inheritance, but over years of heavy drinking the sum was squandered, and upon her death it was discovered she still owed £17,000 to HM Revenue and Customs.

Due to this matter, her belongings were auctioned off, with fans jumping at a chance to take home a memento of the famed TV chef.
