A North East climate tech start-up is set to scale after securing investment from a regional female investment firm.

Amy Mooney is the founder of new business Mutha Cuva, a new subscription-based business aimed at solving the urgent clean energy challenge of heat pump servicing and maintenance.

Ms Mooney, a heating company director, devised the business to remove the hassle for homeowners while helping engineers work more efficiently. The firm’s platform offers automated service bookings, remote monitoring and AI-powered engineer support, and it is designed to work with any heat pump model

Last month, the entrepreneur launched a £250,000 pre-seed investment round to help scale the business, which is based in Newcastle.
