The SEC weekly awards were a game of spot the Tiger.
Four Missouri football players made their way onto the conference’s player-of-the-week awards for their performances during the Tigers ’ 29-20 win over South Carolina on Saturday evening in Columbia, Missouri. Mizzou had a player pick up an honor in four of six possible categories.
Running back Ahmad Hardy was the conference’s offensive player of the week. Right tackle Keagan Trost was named offensive lineman of the week. Edge rusher Zion Young earned co-defensive lineman honors, and rookie kicker Robert Meyer earned a co-freshman nod from the league.
The awards are mostly immaterial. It’s not even entirely clear how the voting process works.
